We are a partnership of local churches
for the purpose of fulfilling the Great Commission
by caring for International Students and Scholars.
Friends of Internationals, Inc. offers a simple and economical way
to engage, equip and involve local churches and their members
to effectively “make disciples of all nations.”
Executive Director
Jon Varner was appointed by the North American Mission Board (SBC) in 2008 to serve as a missionary to international students. He received the Master of Divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 1995.
Assistant Executive Director
Alana Varner was also appointed by the North American Mission Board (SBC) in 2008 to serve as a missionary alongside her husband. She received a Master of Cultural Studies from Colombia International University in 2022.
